From secure entry to nutrition, every aspect of our facility is designed with your child's safety and wellbeing in mind. We take our responsibility as your trusted caregivers seriously every single day.
Secure Entry
All doors are kept locked during operating hours. Entry is controlled through pin-code locks — only authorized parents and staff have the code to unlock the doors.
Age-Appropriate Rooms
Children are grouped by developmental age and stage. Each room is specifically designed and equipped for that age group's needs and safety requirements.
Staff Training
All staff members are required to complete regular training in child development, safety procedures, and early childhood education best practices.
CPR & First Aid
All staff are trained and certified in CPR and First Aid. Emergency response plans are in place and regularly reviewed with all team members.
Cleaning Protocols
We maintain rigorous daily cleaning and sanitizing routines throughout all rooms, toys, and high-touch surfaces to ensure a healthy environment.
Illness Policy
We ask that children feeling under the weather stay home to rest and recover — it helps them bounce back faster and keeps our whole community healthy. If a child begins to feel ill during the day, we'll give parents a call right away so we can get them comfortable and on their way home.
Handwashing
Regular and thorough handwashing is practiced by children and staff throughout the day — upon arrival, before meals, after outdoor play, and after diapering.
Controlled Check-In / Check-Out
We use a secure check-in and check-out system. Children will only be released to authorized adults. ID may be requested at any time.
Nutrition
We provide healthy snacks each day to keep children energized and feeling their best. Parents are welcome to send lunch and any additional food from home.
Allergy Awareness
All allergies are documented and communicated to every staff member. We take food allergies and dietary restrictions extremely seriously.
Open Door Policy
Parents are always welcome to visit, observe, or participate. We believe in full transparency and open communication with every family.
Licensed and Inspected
Hurney's Daycare and Nursery is a fully licensed facility that meets or exceeds all New Hampshire childcare regulations. We welcome questions and encourage parents to be involved in every aspect of their child's care.
